The Karl-Marx monument is the main tourist attraction in Chemnitz or, as it was once known under the DDR, Karl-Marx Stadt. The enormous Karl Marx head is impressive, the building at its back too, but the whole area is kept in very bad conditions and needs a deep renovation.
